Let's take a closer look at KOH's latest special collection, KOH Paparazzi.
It's a glitter-and-glamour collection. Three are simple but sophisticated while the remaining three are flashy, each meant to be layered over its less flamboyant mate. Here's the collection at a glance:

Okay, here's the final polish from Galaxy and it's my other favourite from the collection.
KOH Atmosphere is pretty much the green counterpart of KOH Stardust. It's a green-gold duochrome shimmer and a two-coater.
At this angle, it looks an ashy brown-green.
Look at it again and Atmosphere becomes a pompous green.
And finally, here it is showing off its lovely combined green-goldness.

This is one of my two favourites from the Galaxy collection.
KOH Stardust is both beautiful and mysterious. It's predominantly a burgundy-golden brown duochrome shimmer but you may see a glint of green/green-gold at certain angles sometimes.
Here it is in all its burgundy glory.....
.....and here it is parading its burgundy-brown.
I love it when a polish has more than one personality!

Polish number four from KOH Galaxy. It's a sophisticated beauty, methinks.
A two-coater, KOH Milky Way is a chocolate taupe shimmer. It's not too dark and not too somber. There's something very calming about it.
Previous Galaxy polish: KOH Magnetic
Next Galaxy polish: KOH Stardust

This is another gorgeous one from the Galaxy collection. It's a magenta shimmer and KOH has christened it Magnetic. Two coats, as usual.

Here's the second polish from the Galaxy collection.
KOH Falling Star is a relatively simple purple shimmer polish but if you look at it closely in sunshine, you might be able to catch it twinkling blue and pink. You're looking at two coats.

It's time again for another new collection from KOH. The KOH Galaxy collection certainly has my kind of colours - mostly dark, stormy and foreboding.
I'll kick it off with the least broody of the six. You're looking at two coats of KOH Universe, a coral red glass-fleck polish. It looks pretty cheerful compared to the rest.
Here's Universe in the company of the other five:

Here's the new collection from Herôme. The colours are intense, in contrast to the mild, quiet shades of the previous collection, Peaceful Finland.
The Herôme W.I.C. Stunning Scotland collection is made up of:
L-R: Melrose, Kilmarnock, Stirling, Glasgow, Kirkcaldy, Aberdeen
I have two coats on in all the following photos:

If you thought the Herôme W.I.C. Peaceful Finland collection was too subdued for the summer, check out KOH's latest collection called Candy. They're all crèmes and when seen together, they make quite a splashy mob.
The six bombastic colours that make up this collection are:

Peaceful Finland is the latest collection from Herôme. The colours are nothing loud, they're just pale, muted and serene.
These are the six colours, each named after a city or town in Finland:
L-R: Rovaniemi, Lahti, Lohja, Jyväskylä, Mikkeli, Joensuu
Here are the polishes applied (two to three coats):
Herôme W.I.C. Rovaniemi
It's a very pale beige crème.
Herôme W.I.C. Lahti
Lahti is a Witoxicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17840068842090199600noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4041387505585999599.post-63749181572954479062013-05-24T22:49:00.000+02:002013-05-24T22:49:35.184+02:00Adorned Nails: KOH Passion Fruit
Here's the final polish from the KOH Delicious collection.
I would say that, of all the six polishes from the collection, KOH Passion Fruit is the one which stands out. It's a lovely periwinkle blue with subtle shimmer. It's not always obvious but it does sometimes have a glint of pinky-purple. I have the usual two coats on.
Previous Delicious collection: KOH Caviar

Let's continue the KOH Delicious series with KOH Caviar.
Caviar has the same finish as Champagne Rose but while Champagne Rose is on the pink side, Caviar is a soft, dainty coral. You're looking at the usual two coats here.
Previous Delicious polish: KOH Cocktail
Next and final Delicious polish: KOH Passion Fruit

This one's for those of you who love nude nail polish shades. KOH Cocktail is just that, a creamy nude, like milk with just a tiny drop of chocolate. Cocktail is the only crème polish from the KOH Delicious limited edition collection. This too is a two-coater.
Previous Delicious polish: KOH Oyster
Next Delicious polish: KOH Caviar

I can't say I'm terribly charmed by KOH Oyster. It applied well (two coats) and it's certainly a colour that will easily match any item in your wardrobe but I find it a cold, steely silver that fails to stir the soul. Mine, anyway.
Oyster belongs to the recently-released KOH Delicious collection.
Previous Delicious polish: KOH Champagne Rose
Next Delicious polish: KOH Cocktail

KOH Champagne Rose is the next polish to be featured from the KOH Delicious limited edition collection.
Champagne Rose too has subtle shimmer and the shade is somewhere between a pink and a dusty rose. It's sweet but not overly sugary. As usual, I have two coats on here.
Previous Delicious polish: KOH Silky Chocolate
Next Delicious polish: KOH Oyster

KOH released yet another new collection this month. The collection's called KOH Delicious and I'm kicking it off with KOH Silky Chocolate.
Silky Chocolate is a quiet taupe, simple and elegant with subtle shimmer. It was opaque in two easy coats.
There were delivery issues which greatly delayed the arrival of these samples but here's the collection:

I took a gamble with this facial cleanser. I hadn't read any reviews beforehand but since I had had only positive experiences with Burt's Bees products, I figured I couldn't get it that wrong with this cleanser.
I'm still faithful to MuLondon's face cleansers and I've been alternating between the MuLondon Organic Fragrance-free Foaming Face Wash and Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser for the Witoxicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17840068842090199600noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4041387505585999599.post-63839011627570312802013-04-27T23:28:00.000+02:002013-04-27T23:28:41.042+02:00Adorned Nails: KOH Midnight Blue
Let's take a look at KOH Midnight Blue, something from KOH's permanent collection for a change.
In the run-up to the investiture of the Dutch king this coming Tuesday, KOH has been highlighting four of their permanent shades, three representing the Dutch flag colours and, of course, KOH Dutch, an orange, an absolute must around Queen's / King's Day.

There were six variants of this eyeshadow palette. They looked promising and fun with three times three shades. The more the merrier, I thought.
With this one though, they could have had one less white eyeshadow and replaced it with something-other-than-white. White eyeshadows and I aren't exactly best buddies. They look like chalk on my lids.

Here's the final one from the KOH Jewels collection. It's a usual two-coater.
It's been a while since I last wore a colour quite similar to this. Two years is a long time. Remember Gosh Ocean?
I tend to gravitate towards purples and burgundies. It's easy to forget how delightful teal shimmers can be and KOH Blue Topaz is just that, with a touch of blue.
Previous Jewels polish: KOH Amethyst

Let's continue the Jewels series with KOH Amethyst.
I'll keep this short and sweet. Even though not unique, Amethyst is still a charming purple shimmer polish. I've got two coats on and application was problem-free.
Previous Jewels polish: KOH Grey Agate
Next and final Jewels polish: KOH Blue Topaz
Witoxicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17840068842090199600noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4041387505585999599.post-10219178053966874922013-02-25T20:28:00.000+01:002013-02-25T20:28:24.639+01:00Adorned Nails: KOH Grey Agate
Here's another one from the shimmerful Jewels collection. KOH Grey Agate is quite simply a cool-toned steely grey. Though not immediately obvious, the shimmers have a little twinkle of teal. I have the usual two coats on here.

Next Jewels polish: KOH Amethyst

It's a white shimmer polish today. KOH Diamond is a white/off-white shade with very, very subtle golden twinkles. It's a cloudy diamond, I'm afraid.
You're looking at three coats here.
KOH Diamond belongs to the Jewels collection.
Previous Jewels polish: KOH Ruby
Next Jewels polish: KOH Grey Agate

Let's take a look at the second polish from the upcoming KOH Jewels collection.
KOH Ruby is certainly my kind of colour. In the bottle, it looks like a straightforward burgundy shimmer. However, applied on nails, you will notice some fuchsia in the mix. Lovely! I have two thick coats on here.

I had heard about DHC and its "famous" Deep Cleansing Oil for a couple of years. I wasn't into cleansing oils (still not) but I noticed that they also had an Acerola line when I was in Asia last year. After reading their brochure and mulling over it for a few days, I bought three of the four products from the DHC Acerola range:
